Host a tournament in Amman
Three Amman venues are needed, one per ground: North, East and West-South. Each venue stages a Pitch Round of 64 to 128 amateur teams in the spring of 2027, and MCC supplies the format, the entries and the fixtures. Anyone running futsal or five-a-side pitches in the city can read below what the job involves.
What an Amman venue takes on
Count the hours before you apply. Group matches need your pitches over three April weekends, and knockout games follow from 30 April, closing with the ground final on 9 May. With 40-minute slots, a big complex with many small pitches can host a whole ground, while a modest site can take fewer teams. Sixty-four is the floor.
Which areas of Amman each ground covers
North Amman takes in the northern suburbs, East Amman the neighbourhoods toward Marka and Zarqa, and West-South Amman the districts around Sweifieh, Abdoun and the southern ring. Pick the ground in which your site sits. On the Amman city page, each ground's card says whether a venue has been confirmed or the place is still open.
How an Amman venue applies
A site owner applies through the pitch owner application. MCC then confirms one venue per ground and signs an agreement, and only after the signature does the Amman page name that venue on its ground card, so registering teams know where their ground plays.
Questions from Amman venue owners
How many pitches does an Amman ground need?
Enough to fit the group matches over three weekends into 40-minute slots. A ground with several small-sided pitches can take 128 teams; a smaller one can run with fewer, as long as it reaches 64.
Who appoints referees for matches at an Amman venue?
MCC does. It recruits a referee, two assistants, a fourth official and the crew through its join page. Teams have no say in who officiates, and the venue is never asked to find anyone.
When is an Amman venue announced to teams?
After the agreement with MCC has been signed. Until then the ground stays marked as open on the Amman page; once signed, the venue's name appears on that ground's card for registering teams.
