Terms
Who can enter, what the two declarations commit a team to, and what is still to be set by the official rules.
What these terms are
These terms cover the use of this registration website, the entry it files and the MCC app. They are not the Team License agreement and not the pitch owner agreement: both of those are separate documents, put in front of you after approval.
Who can enter
The person who registers a team must be 18 or over. Players under 18 join a squad in the MCC app with a guardian's consent, not through this site. The app does not ask your age or record that consent.
No player on a registered team may currently be registered with, contracted to or playing for a professional football club. Former professionals are welcome. A current professional may own, preside or coach, but not play.
Registrations pass identity and contractual-status checks. The majority owner's identity is verified before the license activates; the Team President is named on the entry as the club's official.
One entry per captain email
One team, one license, one entry per email address. An address that already has an entry under review cannot file a second one. If you need to change the address on an entry, write to info@mcc-global.io with the entry number.
Conduct
The conduct policy is zero tolerance, and accepting it is one of the two declarations on the registration form. It applies to players, Team Presidents, coaches, substitutes and team officials.
A participant who fights, or uses or attempts violence against a referee, security, medical staff, MCC staff or a volunteer, can be removed and disqualified at once. Further sanctions include suspension and exclusion from future MCC competition.
While a sanction is in force the person cannot check in to a match, join a squad, transfer, take a share in a license, or register or take over a team, and it stays in force if they delete their account and return with the same verified email address.
If teammates join a fight the team can be disqualified, and its remaining matches are awarded to its opponents. After a final MCC disciplinary decision the license can be revoked without a refund, except where the law requires one.
Approval, license and payment
Filing an entry is an application, not a place in the tournament. The organizers review every entry. Nothing is charged on this site: the license fee is paid after approval, and the majority owner's identity is verified before the license activates.
A full pitch puts your team on its waitlist rather than rejecting it. If a place opens, MCC can move your team in from the waitlist.
Prize money
Every prize figure published on this site is provisional. The amounts, the levels they are paid at and the conditions attached to them are set by the official MCC prize rules, which are not published yet. Read every figure here as subject to those rules.
Where a prize is paid, it is paid to the registered team. How a team splits it is the team's own call, recorded in a prize distribution agreement before competition.
Pitch owners
A pitch owner application is an application for one of the two independent pitches in a host city. It is reviewed the same way an entry is.
The MCC agreement is a separate document, signed after approval. It, and not this site, sets the owner's share, the payment terms and the obligations of the venue. The venue facts given on the application are shown to players, so they have to be accurate.
Who runs MCC
The MCC Major Champions Cup is organized by Major Champions Cup Ltd, registered at Governors Square, Suite #2-204, 23 Lime Tree Bay Avenue, P.O. Box 477, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, KY1-1108. It is the entity these terms are with.
Powered by UTN means the tournament runs on the UTN platform: the same accounts, app and operational layer as UTN's other products, which is why the MCC app is where squads, transfers and match day live.
