What this page covers
This notice covers the MCC Major Champions Cup registration website and the MCC app, which share one account. The website takes team entries, pitch owner applications, and crew and free-agent applications for the 2027 season; the app runs the squads, match days and transfers that follow.
The data controller is Major Champions Cup Ltd, Governors Square, Suite #2-204, 23 Lime Tree Bay Avenue, P.O. Box 477, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, KY1-1108.
What we collect, and where
The team registration form asks for the team name, the coach's name, the Team President's name, one email address and one phone number. No player details are collected here: squads are built in the MCC app after licensing.
The pitch owner application asks for the organization's name, a contact name, one email address, one phone number, the venue address, and the venue facts you choose to give: surface, floodlights, changing rooms, capacity, dimensions, facilities, spectator and team access, security, medical and ambulance access, match-day availability and local compliance.
The Join form asks for your full name, one email address, one phone number and the city, country or pitch you apply for, plus what the role needs: for a player, position, year of birth, where you have played and when you declared that you play for no professional club; for a referee, qualification and experience; for a volunteer, when you are available and the languages you speak; for a city or country manager, your current role and, if you give one, a profile link; for a medical partner, the clinic's name, address, registration number and services. Any role can add a short note. A player's full name becomes the name clubs and everyone signed in to the app see as their player name; you can change it in the app at any time.
In the MCC app we hold your profile (display name, position and, for a free agent, home city), when you declared that you play for no professional club, your squad, your share in a team license, transfers with their fees and notes, match records, whether you said you can play and when you checked in, the forms and medical clearance you upload, your inbox, the devices we send notifications to with your notification settings, the club whose code you signed up with, and any disciplinary sanction.
The organizers can keep notes about a free agent. The organizer console logs every action an operator takes, with what they entered, so the log holds the actions taken about you. If you ask this site to send your entry link again, we keep the address and the time you asked.
The MCC app does not ask your age. The Join form asks a player for a year of birth and turns away anyone too young to be 18 in the year the tournament starts.
An account is created when you sign up in the MCC app, or by the organizers when they approve an entry or an application filed on this site. The account holds your email address and the password you set.
The hosting provider's request log records the IP address, the browser and the address requested for every request to the MCC server. That log is kept for 30 days and then deleted, and erasing your data does not shorten it. The server itself keeps IP addresses in memory only, for at most twenty minutes, to stop scripts filing hundreds of entries. Each form sends how long it was open; the server checks that and does not store it.
Why we hold it
To place your team on a pitch and hold the slot, to let the organizers review the entry, and to reach you about it. The email address is also the address the approval message goes to, and the one your account is created under.
Venue facts from a pitch owner application are shown in the MCC app on the pitch's page, which is what they are for.
In the app, to run your squad, transfers, match-day check-in and the forms check, to send you notifications, and to apply disciplinary sanctions.
Who sees it
Organizer console operators, who review entries and applications.
The pitch owner of the ground your team is approved onto, who sees the team's name and its squad names and positions, and on match day who said they can play, who checked in and whose forms are approved. A pending or rejected entry is never shown to an owner.
Anyone signed in to the MCC app, who can open a player's page (name, position, home city, club, past transfers, appearances, wins and goals, and when they joined the app), a club's page (its name, coach, Team President and squad names) and the list of free agents. Each player on these pages carries their account identifier, so the app can open their page. It is the identifier the shared sign-in service gives your account (see below), and it carries no contact details.
Your teammates, who see whether you said you can play. A co-owner of your club also sees its contact email and phone number.
The forms and medical clearance you upload in the app are opened only by you and the organizers' review desk, which means every organizer seat with review rights: the seats that review entries, transfers and results open them too, and every file opened is logged. A read-only seat sees only how many forms are waiting, never whose. The pitch owner and stewards at your match see whether your forms are approved, never the forms themselves.
If you are under a disciplinary sanction, the app tells you what it is and until when, and the organizers' discipline desk sees it in full. A read-only organizer seat sees only that a sanction exists, not what it is or why. A club making you an offer, a pitch owner or a steward is told only that you cannot take part right now.
Nobody else, apart from the services named below that host the data and carry the sign-in, the notifications and the letters. Nothing here is sold, rented or handed to an advertising network, and there is no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking script on this site.
How long we keep it
Until you ask for it to be erased, with the exceptions below. An entry is a record of a competition that runs into 2027.
Some records go sooner. At the end of each season the four season forms are deleted, and app players leave their squads. Postponing a match deletes its availability answers and check-ins. A device's record is deleted when the push service rejects it, when the MCC app has not been opened on it for 180 days, or when you have more than ten devices and it is the one used least recently.
Erasure is immediate and it is not a flag on a row. Your account, the entry filed under it, the license ownership and the roster records tied to you are deleted; where a club's own record has to survive without you, your identity is removed from it.
One record survives erasure: a disciplinary sanction still in force (a disqualification, a suspension or an exclusion from MCC competition). It is kept, with the verified email address of the deleted account, until it ends or is lifted, so that deleting an account cannot be used to escape it, and is deleted once it ends or is lifted. While your account exists, your ended and lifted sanctions stay on your disciplinary record and are deleted when your data is erased.
You can start it yourself on this site's account page, under Delete my data, or in the MCC app under Settings, Delete account. You can also write to info@mcc-global.io.
What stays on your device
The registration form, the pitch owner form and the Join form each keep a draft in this browser's local storage, so an application half filled today can be finished tomorrow. A draft holds exactly what you typed into the form.
Once an entry or application is filed, the browser keeps its id and the email it was filed under, which is how this site shows you the status card before you have an account.
Each form also keeps the time it was first opened, for the anti-abuse check above, and the site remembers the language you picked.
The site also counts how many visits reach the home page and open each form, as daily totals with nothing attached that could identify a visitor, a device or an address. Each browser tab remembers, until it is closed, which of those steps it already counted, so a reload is not counted twice.
None of that is a cookie and none of it is read by anyone but this site. Clearing your browser data clears it, and then only the support address can find your entry again.
Signing in is different. The sign-in code, which this site loads from Google, keeps your session in the browser (your account id, email, name, photo link and a sign-in token) and sends the token to Google to keep you signed in. Signing in with Google opens a Google window on the Firebase sign-in domain.
Where it is hosted
The MCC database, including the forms and medical clearance you upload, is stored in Google Cloud SQL in the United States. The MCC server runs on Google Cloud Run in the United States, and this site is served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service.
App notifications carry the message text, which can name people and clubs. They go out through Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service, and on an iPhone through Apple's push notification service.
Accounts and the sign-in service
Accounts run on Firebase Authentication, a Google service. It holds your email address and your password credential; this site never sees the password. If you sign in with Google or Apple instead, that provider passes Firebase the email address on the account and the name on it (Google also passes the profile photo link); MCC uses the email address, and the app offers the name as your display name, which you can change.
Letters and the mail service
The letters this site sends (the receipt, the decision, the account link, the license letters and any message from the organizers) go out through Resend, an email delivery company based in the United States. It handles your name, your address and the letter's text only to deliver it.
The organizers keep a copy of most letters in their own mailbox at info@mcc-global.io. A letter that carries a way into your entry or your account (the receipt with your reference, the set-password link, the entry link) is not copied. Those copies are not deleted automatically when you delete your account yourself: write to that address and the organizers delete them too, as they do when they erase your data on request.
This site keeps a record of every letter it sent: to whom, when, which kind, and the organizers' note or message. It is erased with your data.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for a correction, or ask for erasure. An entry that is still pending can also be corrected from the status card.
Write to info@mcc-global.io from the address of your MCC account or the one your entry was filed under. For an entry, include the entry number from your ticket. We answer every request, including the ones we cannot act on, and say why.
Changes
This page states what the site does today. If it changes, this page changes with it, and the change is not retroactive: data already collected is used for the purposes above.
