Host a tournament in Doha
Doha needs one venue for each of its three grounds: Temba Arena, Al Rayyan/West and Al Wakrah/South. Each stages a Pitch Round of 64 to 128 amateur teams across April and May 2027, using the format, fixtures and entries MCC provides. The sections below set out the role for anyone running futsal or 5-a-side pitches in Qatar's capital.
What a Doha venue takes on
A venue gives over its pitches on the three group weekends of 9, 16 and 23 April, then for the knockout days from 30 April and the ground final on 9 May, always in 40-minute slots. A ground can open with as few as 64 teams.
Which part of Doha each ground serves
Temba Arena is the label for the ground covering central and northern Doha, Al Rayyan/West serves the western districts, and Al Wakrah/South the south of the city toward Al Wakrah. Your site belongs to whichever of the three it falls under. Live cards on the Doha page flag the grounds that already have a venue.
Applying as a Doha pitch owner
Owners use the pitch owner application. For each ground MCC confirms a single venue, signs an agreement, and then lets the Doha page name that venue on the ground's card. Temba Arena is a ground label, not a signed venue, and gets its venue the same way as the others.
Questions from Doha venue owners
Can an indoor Doha hall apply to host a ground?
It can apply through the pitch owner application, like any other site in Qatar's capital. One venue is confirmed per ground, with a signed agreement, and the venue then hosts that ground's matches in 40-minute slots.
Who provides match officials at a Doha venue?
MCC does. It recruits a referee, two assistants, a fourth official and crew through its join page. Teams never appoint officials, and a venue does not need to look for any.
When does a Doha venue become public?
When its MCC agreement is signed. Before then the Doha city page lists the ground as open; after the announcement, the card for that ground carries the venue's name for registering teams.
