Host a tournament in Dubai
Dubai needs one venue per ground: Danube Sports World, Deira/North and Dubai Marina/South-West. A venue puts on a Pitch Round of 64 to 128 amateur teams across spring 2027, with MCC providing the format and the fixtures. The sections below set out the commitment for anyone running futsal or 5-a-side pitches in Dubai.
What hosting a Dubai ground involves
Pitch time is needed over the group weekends in April, then for knockout days from 30 April and a final on 9 May. Slots run 40 minutes. Sixty-four teams is a workable start for a ground, which keeps smaller sites in play.
Which part of Dubai each ground covers
Danube Sports World is the label for the central ground. Deira/North takes in the creek districts and the northern side, and Dubai Marina/South-West the Marina, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Al Barsha and the area toward Jebel Ali. Your site joins the ground it lies in. The Dubai page shows a live card for each, confirmed or open.
The Dubai pitch owner application
Owners start with the pitch owner application. MCC settles on one venue for every Dubai ground and signs an agreement with it, and the Dubai page names the venue only once that agreement is signed. Danube Sports World gets its venue the same way as the other two grounds.
Questions from Dubai venue owners
Can a Dubai sports club with floodlit pitches host?
It can apply via the pitch owner application. One venue is settled on per ground, an agreement is signed, and nothing appears on the Dubai page before that has happened.
Does a Dubai host venue appoint the referees?
No. MCC recruits a referee, two assistants, a fourth official and the crew through the join page. Teams do not appoint them either, so a venue's job is the pitches alone.
When will a Dubai venue be named publicly?
After its agreement is signed. Up to that point the Dubai city page shows the ground as open; afterwards the ground's card carries the venue by name, so registering teams know where to play.
