Host a tournament in Stockholm
MCC needs one venue for each of Stockholm's three grounds: North Metro, West Metro and South Metro. The host stages the ground's Pitch Round: 64 to 128 amateur teams over a five-week window in 2027, ending 9 May. This page is for owners and operators of small-sided pitches and halls in the Stockholm area.
What a Stockholm host takes on
A venue lends out its pitches for the April group weekends, then for knockout days and the closing final. Because slots are only 40 minutes long, several pitches on one site can cope with 128 teams, and a ground can begin with 64.
Which parts of Stockholm each ground serves
North Metro covers Solna, Sundbyberg and Kista. West Metro covers Bromma, Kungsholmen and the western suburbs. South Metro covers Södermalm, Hammarbyhöjden and the southern towns. A pitch owner finds the area their site belongs to and goes forward for that Metro ground.
Applying as a Stockholm pitch owner
Venues come in through the MCC pitch owner application. MCC confirms one venue for North, West and South Metro and signs an agreement with each; once that is done the venue is named on the Stockholm page and visible to every team in the ground.
Questions from Stockholm venues
Can a municipal sports hall apply?
Yes. The pitch owner programme is open to any owner of small pitches in a ground's area. The venue's task is to host matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates, and who owns the hall does not change that.
What if my venue is between two grounds?
Choose the ground whose area your site sits in. MCC confirms one venue per ground, so every team in that ground plays at a single site through the whole Pitch Round.
Do we recruit the referees ourselves?
No. MCC recruits the referee, two assistants, the fourth official and the crew through the join page. Teams register on the MCC site, and the venue's job is to host the matches in the slots.
