Host a tournament in Copenhagen
MCC needs a venue for each of Copenhagen's three grounds: North Metro, West Metro and Amager/South. The host stages a Pitch Round for 64 to 128 amateur sides across five weeks in 2027. If you manage small-sided pitches, a sports club or a hall in greater Copenhagen, here is what the role means.
What a Copenhagen venue commits to
What a venue gives is pitch time: three April group weekends, the knockout days that follow and the closing final on 9 May. Slots last 40 minutes, so a site with several small pitches can take a whole ground of 128, and a ground can begin with 64.
Which Copenhagen areas the grounds cover
North Metro serves Nørrebro, Østerbro and the northern side of the city. West Metro serves Frederiksberg, Vanløse and the west. Amager/South serves Amager, Islands Brygge and Ørestad. Owners of sites in those areas are the ones each ground is looking for.
How to apply in Copenhagen
Start with the MCC pitch owner application, which is the single way in. MCC confirms one venue per ground and signs an agreement with it, and that venue's name then goes live on the Copenhagen page for every team in the ground to see.
Questions from Copenhagen venues
Can a club-owned artificial pitch host a ground?
Yes, if the club can host the matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates and is confirmed as the venue for its ground. Any owner of small pitches in the ground's area can come through the pitch owner programme.
Is there only one venue per ground?
Yes. MCC confirms a single venue for each of North Metro, West Metro and Amager/South, so every team in a ground plays at the same site through its Pitch Round.
Who recruits the match officials and supplies the teams?
MCC does. Teams register on the MCC site, and referees, assistants, fourth officials and crew are recruited through the join page. Neither teams nor venues appoint them, so the venue only hosts the matches.
