Host a tournament in Trabzon

MCC needs one venue for each Trabzon ground: Ortahisar, Akçaabat and Yomra. The venue hosts a field of up to 128 amateur teams in April and May 2027, and MCC itself handles the format, entries, fixtures and prizes. If you run halı saha or small-sided pitches on this stretch of the Black Sea coast, here is what hosting involves.

What a Trabzon venue provides

The venue offers pitch time across three April weekends, then the playoff dates and a closing final in early May. At 40 minutes a match, a site with several pitches can run a larger ground and a compact one can take a ground near 64 teams. Entries, officials and prizes stay with MCC.

Which ground fits your site

A venue applies for the ground whose area it sits in: Ortahisar in the centre, Akçaabat to the west or Yomra to the east. The live cards on the Trabzon page show which have a signed venue and which are still open to an operator.

How the application works

Pitch owners start with the application. For each Trabzon ground MCC settles on one venue and signs an agreement with it. That venue then appears on the Trabzon page for teams entering the ground, and the live cards show which grounds are still open.

Questions from Trabzon venues

Do Trabzon venues need to be indoors?

The contract does not say so. A venue is the site confirmed for a ground through the pitch owner programme, and its part is hosting the matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates.

Can a small site in Yomra host a ground?

Yes. A ground can run from 64 teams, so a smaller site with enough pitch hours on the fixture dates is a fair fit. It applies as a pitch owner, and MCC names a single venue for the ground once the agreement is signed.

Who recruits the officials for Trabzon matches?

MCC does, through the join page. Every match is assigned a referee, two assistants and a fourth official, and neither venues nor teams appoint them. The venue supplies the pitches and the hours.
