Host a tournament in Cairo
Three Cairo venues are wanted, one for each of New Cairo/East, Nasr City/Central-East and Giza/West. The host of a ground stages the tournament for up to 128 amateur teams across April and May 2027, while MCC brings the entries, the format and the prize fund. Owners of sports clubs, academies and pitch complexes in Greater Cairo can read on.
What hosting a Cairo ground means
The workload is predictable: three April weekends of group matches, playoffs after 30 April, and a closing final on 9 May 2027. Slots are 40 minutes and a ground holds anywhere from 64 to 128 teams, so a Cairo site of modest size is not shut out. The host stages the matches; MCC supplies entries, format and officials.
Which areas each Cairo ground covers
Eastern suburbs beyond the Ring Road belong to New Cairo/East. Nasr City/Central-East takes the central-east, including Heliopolis and the streets near the stadium. Giza/West is the western ground, covering Dokki, Mohandessin and the districts across the Nile. Pick the ground in whose area your site stands; the cards on the Cairo page show which of the three still has no venue.
Applying as a Cairo pitch owner
Start with the pitch owner application. One venue is confirmed for each Cairo ground, and that venue is sent an agreement. Signing it puts its name on the Cairo page, where entering teams will find it. The live cards on the page show which grounds have no venue.
Questions from Cairo venues
Can a sports club in Cairo host a ground?
Yes. A club, academy or commercial pitch complex in Greater Cairo is eligible to apply. One venue is confirmed per ground, an agreement is signed, and the name then appears on the page.
Which dates would a Cairo venue need to cover?
Starting on Friday 9 April 2027, the group stage uses three weekends, and playoffs follow from 30 April up to each ground's final on 9 May. Whether a site lies in New Cairo/East, Nasr City/Central-East or Giza/West, its slots last 40 minutes.
Who provides referees and prizes at a Cairo ground?
MCC does. Cairo sides enter on this site, while match officials and crew come through the join page: a referee, two assistants and a fourth official. Teams never appoint anyone, and the venue simply hosts the games.
