Host a tournament in Montreal

Three venues are wanted in the Montreal area: one for Laval/North, one for Central Montreal and one for South Shore. Whichever site takes a ground stages its Pitch Round for 64 to 128 amateur teams between 9 April and 9 May 2027. Pitch owners on the island, in Laval and on the South Shore can apply here.

What hosting a Montreal ground involves

A Montreal venue stages its ground in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates. Teams in each four-team group play three weekends in April, the knockout stage starts on 30 April and the final settles the ground on 9 May. Between 64 and 128 teams take part.

Where each Montreal ground sits

Laval/North takes in Laval and the northern suburbs. Central Montreal takes in the island, including the Plateau, Villeray, Verdun and Saint-Laurent. South Shore takes in Longueuil, Brossard and the nearby towns across the river. The live cards mark the grounds with no signed venue yet.

How a Montreal venue applies

The route for a pitch owner is the pitch owner application. After it, MCC confirms one venue for each of the three grounds and signs an agreement with it. The signed venue is then named on the Montreal page, where teams entering that ground can find it.

Questions from Montreal venues

Does a Montreal venue need to be on the island?

No. Laval and the South Shore each have their own ground, so a facility in Laval, Longueuil or Brossard fits its area as well as one in the centre. Teams tend to choose the venue closest to home.

Can a municipal sports complex host a ground?

Yes. Any pitch owner can apply, whether the site is a municipal complex, a private soccer centre or an arena. The application leads to one confirmed venue per ground and a signed agreement with MCC.

Who supplies the teams and officials at a Montreal venue?

MCC does. Teams enter through MCC and are drawn into groups of four, while match officials and crew are recruited through the join page. Neither teams nor venues appoint the referee, the two assistants or the fourth official.
