Host a tournament in Santiago
MCC needs one venue for each of three Santiago grounds: North Metro, East Metro and South-West Metro. Each venue hosts the full competition for its ground, with 64 to 128 amateur teams in the Pitch Round that closes on 9 May 2027, and MCC provides entries, format and fixtures. If you manage futbolito canchas anywhere in the Santiago region, this page explains the role.
What a Santiago futbolito venue takes on
The venue hosts its ground's matches in 40-minute slots across the three group weekends of April (the first is 9 to 11 April), then the knockout games from 30 April and a final on 9 May. How many teams a ground ends up with, between 64 and 128, depends on how many enter that part of Santiago.
Communes covered by each ground
North Metro covers Recoleta, Independencia, Huechuraba and Quilicura. East Metro covers Nunoa, La Reina, Las Condes and Penalolen. South-West Metro covers Maipu, Estacion Central, Pedro Aguirre Cerda and San Bernardo. A venue applies for the area it is in, and the Santiago page names it once its agreement is signed.
How a Santiago venue applies
The route is the pitch owner application. MCC confirms a single venue for every ground and signs an agreement, and the Santiago page then names the venue. Referees and crew are recruited through the join page, not by teams or venues.
Questions from Santiago venues
Can a venue outside the eastern communes host a ground?
Yes. Each ground has its own venue, so a site in Maipu or Quilicura applies for the South-West or North Metro ground. Teams tend to prefer the closest venue to home.
Which communes does each Santiago ground cover?
North Metro covers Recoleta, Independencia, Huechuraba and Quilicura. East Metro covers Nunoa, La Reina, Las Condes and Penalolen. South-West Metro covers Maipu, Estacion Central, Pedro Aguirre Cerda and San Bernardo.
Who recruits the referees and supplies the teams?
That falls to MCC. Teams sign up on this site, and the join page recruits officials and crew. A venue hosts the matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates, nothing more.
