Host a tournament in São Paulo

Three venues are needed in São Paulo, one per North, East and South-West Zone ground. Up to 128 amateur teams can enter each, and MCC provides the format, the sign-ups and the fixtures. Anyone with futsal courts or society pitches in the city can read on to see what the job involves.

What a São Paulo venue takes on

A venue in São Paulo lends its courts or pitches to the 40-minute match slots of one ground. Games run on three April weekends, the knockout rounds follow, and the final is on 9 May. Each ground holds 64 to 128 teams, so more courts on a site means the slots are spread thinner.

Where the three zones sit

North Zone means districts like Santana and Tucuruvi; East Zone means Tatuapé, Penha and Itaquera; South-West Zone means Santo Amaro, Pinheiros and the stretch toward Morumbi. Each venue bids for the zone that contains it. To see which zones are still waiting for a venue, open the São Paulo page and look at the live cards.

How to apply

The route in is the pitch owner application. After it, MCC signs an agreement for one venue per São Paulo zone. The signed venue is then named on the São Paulo page, which is where teams choosing that zone look.

Questions from São Paulo venues

Can a futsal gymnasium host a ground?

Yes, if it has enough courts and open hours for 40-minute slots on the fixture weekends. A gym or sports club inside one of the three zones fits the programme, as does a society pitch complex.

Who recruits referees and sells entries?

MCC takes care of all of that. Teams sign up here, and referees and crew apply through the join page; teams never appoint officials. The venue's job is the courts and the match slots.

Can a site outside the three zones apply?

The São Paulo grounds are North Zone, East Zone and South-West Zone, and each venue is confirmed for one of them. A site belongs to the zone it stands in. Only one venue is confirmed for each ground.
