Host a tournament in Stuttgart
MCC needs three venues in the Stuttgart region, one for each of the Ludwigsburg/North, Esslingen/East and South Stuttgart grounds. A hosting venue stages 64 to 128 amateur teams through April and May 2027, receiving the format, entries and prize fund from MCC. This page covers the role and how to apply.
What a Stuttgart venue offers
A Stuttgart venue offers its pitches in 40-minute slots for group games on three April weekends, the playoffs that follow and the ground's final on 9 May 2027. Each ground has 64 to 128 teams. Officials and crew are recruited by MCC, not the venue.
Which areas the three grounds serve
Ludwigsburg/North covers Ludwigsburg, Zuffenhausen and the Neckar towns to the north. Esslingen/East covers Esslingen, Bad Cannstatt and Fellbach. South Stuttgart covers Degerloch, Vaihingen and the Filder plateau. Each site applies for the area it lies in; live cards on the Stuttgart page mark grounds already filled.
Applying to host in Stuttgart
Stuttgart pitch owners apply through the MCC programme. MCC confirms one venue for each ground, signs an agreement and then names the venue on the Stuttgart page. A site in Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, Esslingen or the towns nearby applies for its own area's ground.
Questions from Stuttgart venues
Can a venue in Ludwigsburg or Esslingen apply?
Yes. Those towns give two of the grounds their names, and a site in either can apply for its ground. A venue inside the city of Stuttgart applies for South Stuttgart.
Who supplies the teams and officials for a Stuttgart ground?
Teams enter with MCC, which places them on a ground by area. Officials, meaning a referee, two assistants and a fourth official, are recruited by MCC through the join page. The venue provides pitches for the matches.
How many teams will a Stuttgart venue host?
A ground holds 64 to 128 teams, depending on entries. Each team plays three group matches in a group of four, the top two go to the playoffs, and the ground's final is on 9 May 2027.
