Host a tournament in Los Angeles Metro
MCC will confirm three Los Angeles venues, one for each of the San Fernando Valley, Central/East LA and South Bay grounds. The host of a ground stages the entire tournament for 64 to 128 amateur teams across the Pitch Round window, 9 April to 9 May 2027, while the format, entries and prize fund come from MCC. Futsal courts, turf fields and sports complexes anywhere in the county can apply.
What a Los Angeles venue commits to
Taking on a ground means groups of four across three April weekends, playoffs from 30 April and the final on 9 May. The venue's job is to stage those fixtures in 40-minute slots. How busy it gets depends on entries, because a Los Angeles ground may hold as few as 64 teams or as many as 128. Outdoor and indoor surfaces both suit the format.
Placing a venue across the county
San Fernando Valley suits sites in the Valley communities and Burbank. Central/East LA suits venues from Koreatown and Echo Park out through Boyle Heights and East LA. South Bay suits sites in Torrance, Carson, Hawthorne and the beach towns. Each area has a single venue, so a site is put forward for the ground it sits in.
How to apply
A pitch owner applies through the MCC programme, and MCC confirms one venue per ground and signs an agreement with it. After that, registering teams see the venue named on the Los Angeles Metro page and know exactly where their group matches are played.
Questions from Los Angeles venue operators
Does a school or park district field qualify?
Any pitch owner can apply, school and park sites included. Once MCC confirms one venue for a ground and signs an agreement, that venue stages the matches in 40-minute slots on the fixture dates and appears on the Los Angeles Metro page.
Can a venue in Long Beach or Pasadena apply?
Yes. A Long Beach or Pasadena operator applies as a pitch owner for the nearest ground, and MCC confirms one venue per ground. Teams from either place can enter whichever ground suits them.
What does MCC supply during the Pitch Round?
MCC recruits match officials and crew through the join page, and a team never appoints its own. Team entries arrive through the city page. A Los Angeles venue stages the fixtures and is not expected to recruit teams or officials.
