Host a tournament in Monterrey
Three venues are wanted around Monterrey, one for each of the Apodaca/North-East, Santa Catarina/West and Guadalupe/South-East grounds. A ground can hold up to 128 amateur teams, and MCC provides the rules, the entries and the fixture list. Operators of fútbol rápido or 5-a-side sites in Nuevo León are the audience for this page.
What a Monterrey venue takes on
Hosting in Monterrey means giving a ground's matches their 40-minute slots. Group matches run on 9 to 11, 16 to 18 and 23 to 25 April, playoffs start on 30 April and the final is on 9 May. Because a ground holds 64 to 128 teams, a complex with more pitches fits those slots across fewer hours.
Which area a venue serves
Areas are split as follows. Apodaca/North-East takes the north-east of the metro region, Santa Catarina/West the west, and Guadalupe/South-East the south-east around the Cerro de la Silla. A site belongs to whichever of those it sits inside. The cards on the public Monterrey page mark the grounds that already have a confirmed venue.
How to apply
Apply through the pitch owner application. MCC confirms a single venue for each Monterrey ground and signs an agreement, after which the venue is named on this city's page. Teams entering that ground then see exactly where they will play.
Questions from Monterrey venues
Can an existing fútbol rápido complex host a ground?
Yes, if it sits in one of the three areas and can host 40-minute slots on the fixture dates. A complex in Apodaca, Santa Catarina or Guadalupe uses the same application as any other site.
Do we handle entries and referees ourselves?
No. Teams sign up on this site, and the referees, assistants, fourth officials and crew all come through MCC's join page. Teams never appoint officials. The venue hosts the matches in their 40-minute slots.
What if our site only has a few pitches?
A ground holds 64 to 128 teams, with matches in 40-minute slots from 9 April to the final on 9 May 2027. A site with fewer pitches simply has fewer matches per day. The application is the same for every site.
